Essential grammar
Anyone who thinks grammar ceased to have any relevance as soon as they left school needs to think again. A misplaced apostrophe, baffling jargon and incorrect tenses could be all it takes to lose you a contract or sale if your customer is a stickler for such things. Some errors could even lead to a dispute and possible legal fees.
So if you can't tell the difference between a "1980s/1980's/1980s' house" or whether it's "Bill Jones'/Jones's/Joneses report" or even if it's "a miniscule/minuscule improvement on last year's sales figures," this workshop is for you!
Our Essential Grammar course includes:
- Mastering punctuation
- Understanding the building blocks: tenses, adverbs, adjectives, verbs etc...
- What to follow from "school English"...and what to forget
- How to avoid puns, clichés and jargon
- Avoiding the common mistakes found in letters, CVs, executive summaries etc...
- An in-depth analysis of delegate's writing style
