Television 'one-to-one' interviews
More often than not a 'one-to-one' interview will take place in a television news studio. You may well find yourself sitting at the same desk as the presenter of the programme.
Television studios - and the adjacent newsrooms - can be very busy places. Lots of people are running around with seeming disregard for you, which can be intimidating. Presenters, producers, technicians are frequently preoccupied. Their apparent indifference towards you when you turn up is not a sign that they don't value your contribution to the programme.
Our television 'one-to-one' interview training covers:
- Handling the time constraints
- Posture, demeanour and clothing
- Fielding hostile questions
- Using everyday language
