Ann Bird

Ann Bird has worked as a senior journalist during a career spanning national and international newspapers, magazines, radio and television.

While on The Express she worked on the City desk for four years, before launching their widely acclaimed weekly Health section. She then moved up to become Executive Features Editor in charge of The Express and The Sunday Express’s Travel & Leisure sections (Travel, Motoring, Gardening, Careers, Education and Property).

Ann also lectures on journalism for one of Europe’s largest media training centres, gives regular talks on dealing with the Press and how to maximise PR impact on the media, and still writes for various publications, including The Daily Mirror, The Sun, The Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph, The Guardian, FT and consumer magazines. She has also written a regular column in Britain’s only national sports newspaper, Sport First.

In her role as a media trainer she has helped coach staff at international management consultants, global investment banks, environmental agencies, telecoms companies, food giants, trade bodies, healthcare agencies, government departments, major accountancy firms and national transport carriers.
