David Rogers

David Rogers spent 33 years as a foreign correspondent and senior editor for Reuters. His postings have taken him to the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

As Reuters’ Chief Correspondent in Beijing, he was one of the small band of western journalists to witness the final upheavals of China’s Cultural Revolution. In 1981 he was only 20 metres away when Anwar Sadat was assassinated at a military parade in Cairo.

In 1992 David was put in charge of managing editorial operations at Reuters’ London headquarters. He has organised training courses for journalists in numerous locations and since leaving Reuters in 2001 has expanded into media training for British and international organisations.
