Podcast training for journalists
More and more journalists, particularly newspapers journalists, are being asked to record podcasts for their paper's website. Newspapers are keen to raise their profile by in effect taking on news broadcasters at their own game. A good podcast can enhance the authority of the newspaper. Amateur-sounding podcasts can undermine it.
In many cases, a newspaper journalist would have been trained in press writing. Podcasting, though, requires different skills.
