We responded to a call from a major water company, concerned about the poor image of the industry because of leakage from mains when there is so much talk of a water shortage. The training concentrated on those at the sharp end, putting them through a series of realistic interviews. Their toughest task was to explain, in non-technical terms, why leakage occurred and how much progress was being made to reduce it. By the end of the course, they felt more confident, not just about broadcast interviews but also about facing customers at public meetings.
